United States Coast Guard

The United States Coast Guard (USCG), a branch of the Department of Homeland Security, is tasked with safeguarding the maritime interests of the United States. Its mission includes ensuring the safety, security, and stewardship of U.S. waters through law enforcement, search and rescue, environmental protection, and homeland security operations.
Key responsibilities of the USCG include:
- Enforcing maritime law and international agreements
- Protecting ports, waterways, and coastal infrastructure
- Conducting search and rescue operations
- Responding to environmental incidents
- Supporting national defense and joint military readiness
Wireless Infrastructure Assessment
- MAJUS conducted a comprehensive wireless network health survey for the USCG’s St. Elizabeths campus, assessing all floors (G, 1–9) for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal strength, coverage, and roaming performance. Using advanced tools including Ekahau Pro and Sidekick 2, the team identified areas needing improvement and provided actionable recommendations to optimize access point placement, channel allocation, and signal quality. These efforts support the Coast Guard’s mission by strengthening secure, reliable, campus-wide connectivity.
