Gardening

Majus’ Commitment to Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship

At MAJUS Consulting, we believe in the importance of sustainability and environmental stewardship. We encourage our employees to adopt eco-friendly practices such as purchasing electric vehicles, recycling, and reducing waste. To further promote our commitment to the environment and sustainability, we’ve come up with a fun and creative gardening sustainability plan as part of our ethos to inspire sustainable living practices among our team.

Encouraging Gardening Efforts:

  • Goal: Inspire 100% of our employees to start a garden, no matter how small, within one year.
  • Actions: Promote the benefits of gardening through internal communications, highlighting its positive impact on health, well-being, and the environment.

Providing Resources and Education:

  • Masterclass Gardening Videos: We will provide access to high-quality masterclass gardening videos to all employees. These videos will cover various topics, from starting a garden in small spaces to advanced gardening techniques.
  • Gardening Kits: We recommend beginner gardening kits that include seeds, soil, and pots suitable for both large backyards and small spaces such as apartments and balconies. Resources and links to recommended kits will be shared with employees.

Creating a Gardening Community:

  • Sharing Photos and Progress: We will encourage employees to share pictures of their gardens and crops on our internal communication platforms. This will create a sense of community and allow employees to celebrate each other’s progress.
  • Meet-Ups and Trade Events: Organize quarterly meet-ups where employees can come together to share and trade fruits, vegetables, and herbs they’ve grown. These events will foster community spirit and allow employees to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Monitoring
and
Engagement:

  • Participation Tracking: Track the number of employees who start and maintain gardens through quarterly surveys. Encourage employees to log their gardening activities and share updates.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from participants to understand the challenges they face and improve the support and resources provided. Regularly update the program based on employee suggestions and needs.

Benefits of the Gardening Initiative

  • Environmental Impact: By growing their own fruits and vegetables, employees can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable food system.
  • Health and Well-being: Gardening is known to have numerous health benefits, including stress reduction, physical activity, and access to fresh, organic produce.
  • Community Building: The initiative will create a strong sense of community among employees, fostering connections and collaboration beyond the workplace.

engage employees

At MAJUS Consulting, we believe that small, individual efforts can collectively make a significant impact. By encouraging and supporting our employees to engage in gardening, we aim to promote sustainability, health, and community within our company. We look forward to seeing our employees’ gardens flourish and to sharing in the bounty of their harvests.
